Team India has a strong template in T20Is now. However, there is scope for further improvement. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three players who would fit well in India‘s current T20I squad.
There is still some time to go for the T20 World Cup. If needed, this is the right time to experiment and further add strength to this fine T20I squad.
1) Dhruv Jurel
It is now clear that Shubman Gill will operate as the opener in T20Is. Hence, Sanju Samson must bat in the middle order. Jitesh Sharma is his backup and Dhruv Jurel could qualify to this squad as a backup batter, as well.
2) Shashank Singh is one of the players who would fit well in India’s current T20I squad
At No.6 or No.7, India needs a proper hitter of pace. Shashank Singh is excellent for this choice. Domestically, he has the experience to handle pressure too.
3) Krunal Pandya
There is a reason why we mention this. Kuldeep Yadav and Varun CV are both attacking spinners. Axar Patel is also close to this category. However, as seen in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup, they could struggle under pressure while defending a score. Here is where someone like Krunal fits the bill.
