Rajasthan Royals need to make multiple changes before the next season. Here, we take a look at the list of three poor performers in IPL 2025 who could be a target for the Rajasthan Royals.
A few changes could involve some smart signings at the IPL 2026 Auctions. A few players, who have not been great in IPL 2025, could be available for a cheap fee in the next auctions.
Note: This list is comprised assuming these players would be released by their respective franchises.
1) David Miller
David Miller has played for RR before, and he leads the franchise in the SA20 League. LSG might release him and if that happens, RR must consider signing the South African cricketer. He offers more solidity for the franchise in the place of Shimron Hetmyer. Hetmyer could be given another chance but Miller must be there as a backup, at least.
2) Abhinav Manohar is one of the poor performers in IPL 2025
Abhinav Manohar has not been able to set IPL 2025 on fire. With SRH having found Aniket Verma, they could release Abhinav to free up the purse. RR could use Abhinav as one of the finishers in IPL 2026. He is a quality cricketer and he just needs the right backing to be able to do well in the IPL.
3) R Ashwin
R Ashwin has been in poor form for CSK. However, he would still be an upgrade over Maheesh Theekshana, despite his age touching 40. Also, Ashwin adds better value with the bat, which will aid the balance of the side. Therefore, if Ashwin does not retire, RR could look to sign him.
