For a domestic side in India to gain experience with a foreign coach is a huge thing. The youngsters will learn from a different mindset and in some cases, teams have found success, as well.

    1) Dav Whatmore – Kerala and Baroda

Dav Whatmore is one of the most successful coaches in the history of the game. He has also coached in the IPL. A couple of years ago, he was at the helm of Kerala. Baroda, too, is present on the CV of the experienced coach.

    2) Gary Stead is the current Head Coach of the Ranji Trophy side Andhra Pradesh

Of course, along with the Ranji Trophy, Gary will be coaching the side in other competitions too. Winner of the WTC and an accomplished coach for the Kiwis, it is a coup for Andhra to have roped him in. Andhra Pradesh has quite a few budding young talented cricketers. Hence, this move makes sense for them. If the team can win a trophy, surely, this makes way for other teams to invest in foreign coaches.
