Effective utilization of resources is a key factor that helps a team do well in a long tournament like the Indian Premier League. Here, we take a look at the list of three teams that have not made the best use of resources in IPL 2024.
Games come thick and fast and if teams fail to judge their talents quickly, it becomes hard for them to do well. A few teams are already suffering from failure because of the same.
1) Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB has been pretty ordinary when it comes to using its resources. V Vyshak and Mahipal Lomror have been impressive but they have hardly got any chances. Will Jacks is also yet to make his debut. With the bat against Rajasthan, for instance, the team had Rajat Patidar and Dinesh Karthik not batting. If the team had used them, the score could have gone past 200. Several other examples are there for RCB’s failure to use their resources this season.
2) Gujarat Titans have not used their resources well in IPL 2024
Kartik Tyagi, Shahrukh Khan, Abhinav Manohar and R Sai Kishore are some of the players whom GT has not used well this season. Even Kane Williamson was used less by the management this season. The likes of Vijay Shankar have been backed and all of this is not boding well for the outfit.
3) Mumbai Indians
Until the first win for Mumbai Indians, the management and the skipper were not making good use of the resources. For instance, despite being the best in the world, Jasprit Bumrah did not get the new ball in the first few games. Next up, the likes of Vishnu Vinod and Nehal Wadhera did not get opportunities despite doing well last season. Even Akash Madhwal started getting opportunities after MI lost their first few matches.
