3. Mayank Yadav (Lucknow Super Giants)
The 21-year-old pacer for Lucknow Super Giants has gathered the attention of the world with his sheer pace and accuracy. Mayank Yadav has certainly impressed everyone with his speed and performance. He won consecutive MOTM awards in his first IPL matches, bowled at a speed of over 150 kmph regularly, and also bowled the fastest delivery of IPL 2024. His ability to bowl quick bouncers earned him wickets. And if he can continue his form and stay away from injury, there are chances he can be picked. Because the pitches in USA and West Indies are slow, a high pace can be hard to handle on that pitch.
2. Abhishek Sharma (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Abhishek Sharma has been in the rader for the last couple of seasons but couldn’t make it through the ranks. He has had good IPL seasons for SRH, but in 2024, he has been phenomenal. The left-hander has the best strike rate this season, with more than 100 runs. He has scored 161 runs at an average of 40.25 and a strike rate of 217.56. He has hit the fastest fifty for SRH off 16 balls and has already hit 15 sixes. He can also bowl in powerplay, which is an added advantage. The current Indian squad probably doesn’t have any batters who can bowl a few overs, and Abhishek comes with that skillset.
1. Riyan Parag (Rajasthan Royals)
Riyan Parag is another name that has been impressive in the IPL 2024. After being trolling material among fans, Riyan entered this season in good domestic form. He showed that and did an excellent job for RR. He is the highest scorer for his team and has scored 185 runs in four innings at an average and strike rate of 92.5 and 158.11, respectively. If he keeps on delivering such performances, then the selectors can’t ignore him. He also bowls good overs of spin and is someone who can bat anywhere in the order.
