Pakistan cricketers are not allowed to be a part of the IPL 2024 Auction. The rule is applicable to the active cricketers of Pakistan. However, the retired players of Pakistan can participate in the auction if they have a passport of another nation.
In the past, Azhar Mahmood has played for Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on a British passport. This year as well, fans could see some former Pakistan players in the auction. Here’s a list of four Pakistan players who might participate in the IPL 2024 Auction.
1. Imad Wasim may participate in IPL 2024 Auction
Imad Wasim has retired from international cricket. The all-rounder was born in Wales. Hence, he can participate in the IPL based on his origin. It will be interesting to see if he enrolls himself in the auction.
2. Mohammad Amir may participate in IPL 2024 Auction
Mohammad Amir is one of the most destructive bowlers in the world. In a recent T10 League match, Amir bagged four wickets for the New York Strikers. It shows that he still has the fire. If he gets a British passport, Amir can play in IPL.
3. Sami Aslam
Former Pakistan batter Sami Aslam has moved to the USA. He even played for CSK’s sister franchise Texas Super Kings in MLC. Hence, there is a chance of Aslam being a part of the auction.
4. Ehsan Adil
Ehsan Adil played for Pakistan in the 2015 ICC World Cup. He has moved to the USA now. He turned up for the MI New York team as well. It will be interesting to see if Adil gets to play in IPL.
