Punjab Kings have parted ways with their head coach Anil Kumble ahead of the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. According to a report by ESPNCricinfo, the team owners made the decision earlier today, but they are yet to announce who will replace Kumble as the new coach of the franchise.
Anil Kumble became the head coach of the Punjab-based IPL franchise before the 2020 season. He remained the coach of the team for three years, where the team finished sixth on the points table. Since the Kings never qualified for playoffs under Anil, the owners have decided to change the head coach.
