He also contributed with the ball as he managed to pick up one wicket in his 3 overs that he bowled. 2. Stuart Binny, India

Stuart Binny is not a very big name in Test cricket for India but has proved quite a handy player in limited-overs cricket. Binny has only played 6 Test matches for India, scored 194 runs, and picked up three wickets.

He didn’t have a very good England series in 2014 and has been dropped from the Indian team ever since then. Another reason is the rise of quality all-rounders and pacers breaking through into the Indian cricket team. Stuart Binny last represented India in 2015 in the Test series against South Africa; ever since that, he is missing from the Indian team’s Test squad.

    3. Liam Plunkett, England

Another important name from India vs England series and the Lord’s match is Liam Plunkett, but it turned out that the Lord’s Test match was his last Test match ever in the England team’s jersey.

The English right-arm fast bowler made his England debut for England in 2005 and made several appearances for England on some occasions, and was not a regular for the Three Lions. Plunkett has played 13 Test matches and has picked up 43 wickets, but after the Lord’s Test match, Plunkett did not get chance to play red-ball cricket for England.

    4. Sam Robson, England

The Australia born English batsman has represented England in the Test cricket only. Robson made his debut for England in the series against Sri Lanka and lost his place after the India series.

However, Robson was a crucial player for England in the series against India as the right-hand batsman scored 165 runs for England and was one of the best scoring players for them. However, he was never seen in England colors after the India series.

    5. Gary Ballance, England

Ballance was one of the best players of the series, scoring the 2nd highest run with 503 runs, few runs behind Joe Root. He was in top form in the Lord’s Test, scoring a brilliant 110 in the 1st inning while added 27 runs in the 2nd inning.

Gary Ballance scored only 219 runs in 2016 in 6 matches and 85 runs in 2017 in 2 games. Ballance made his debut in 2014 against Australia and went on to play for the Three Lions till 2017. However, a dip in form led to the player’s removal from the England squad. Ballance ever since then nowhere near the England team, and the fans might not even remember him
