While it was a massive payday for the Australian fast bowlers, a plethora of talents remained unsold at the auction as well. In fact, some of them even earned crores in previous seasons. Here’s a list of five such players.

1. Odean Smith went unsold at IPL 2024 Auction

West Indies’ hard-hitting all-rounder Odean Smith earned a mega deal worth 6 crore from Punjab Kings in 2022. In 2023, his price came down to 50 lakh as Gujarat Titans signed him at base price, and in 2024, he remained unsold.

2. James Neesham went unsold at IPL 2024 Auction

James Neesham had a contract worth 1 crore with the Delhi Capitals (then known as Delhi Daredevils) back in 2014. However, now 10 years later, he remained unsold.

3. Sarfaraz Khan

Many fans would remember that RCB retained Sarfaraz Khan over KL Rahul before the IPL 2018 Auction. At that time, Khan’s salary was INR 1.75 crore. However, the rising star remained unsold at the IPL 2024 Auction.

4. Raj Bawa

Another rising star of Indian cricket to feature on the list is Raj Bawa. Punjab Kings went all out and signed him for INR 2 crore at the auction. Bawa was with them in 2022 and 2023, but now, he went unsold.

5. Kamlesh Nagarkoti

Popular Indian pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti received a mega deal worth 3.2 crore from the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018. The price went down to 1.1 crore by Delhi Capitals in 2022, and now in 2024, he remained unsold.
