In the series opener in Perth, Babar fell victim to Cummins twice, caught behind on both occasions. During the Boxing Day Test at the MCG, he was bowled by a considerably jagging delivery from Cummins.

Although his highest score on the tour was 41 in the second innings at the MCG, an untimely dismissal to Josh Hazlewood impacted Pakistan’s run chase.
