2.Irfan Pathan
Perhaps, the biggest name present on this list is the former Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan. The cricketer-turned-cricket expert joined Chennai in 2015. His injury issues made him unavailable for the first few games. And a few games later, the team had found its winning combination. Chennai reached the final in that season without giving Irfan Pathan a single game. The all-rounder then played for Rising Pune Supergiant in 2016 and Gujarat Lions in 2017 before hanging up his boots. He was recently playing for India Legends in the Road Safety World Series 2020. Pathan played a match-winning knock for his team, which showed his true potential.
1.Baba Aparajith
Baba Aparajith was billed by many as the next big thing in Indian cricket. His excellent performance in the U-19 World Cup helped him earn a contract from Chennai. Unfortunately, due to some big names in the team, Aparajith never received an opportunity to play for CSK. Another factor that did not allow Aparajith to receive his maiden IPL cap was that the team was performing extremely well. Had they been on a losing spree, the team management would have considered giving him a chance. Aparajith became a part of Rising Pune Supergiant after Chennai’s suspension, but still, he is yet to play his debut IPL game!
