Playing for India in the T20 World Cup is the dream of every cricketer. The T20 WC is watched everywhere in the world, with lakhs of fans tuning in to watch the matches live on the platforms available. India were the inaugural champions of this tournament.
Due to IPL, there is a high level of competition to make it to the Indian squad. Some players were dropped after just one game at the grand stage. Here’s a list of six such players.

Leg-spinner Rahul Chahar was a surprise pick in India’s 2021 T20 WC squad. He was picked in the team for the dead rubber against Namibia, where he returned wicketless.

Former Indian pacer Ashok Dinda got only one match at the grand stage as well. It was against England at the R Premadasa Stadium in the group stage of the 2012 T20 WC.
3. Deepak Hooda

4. Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan made his T20 WC debut against New Zealand in 2021 as an opener. He scored just four runs, and since India lost, he was dropped from the playing XI.
