Legends League Cricket, as the tournament name suggests, the tournament features the legends of cricket. However, it is not entirely true. There are some legends in every team, while the rest of the squad is filled up with cricketers who have retired without playing international cricket as well.
Since the organizers have to stack up the squads for a long tournament, they even allow players aged less than 40 to play in this league. However, there are several uncapped players in this league as well, and here’s a list of six such players.
1. Praveen Gupta will play in Legends League Cricket
Praveen Gupta is one of the lesser-known talents playing in LLC 2024. It might surprise the fans that he was one of the most expensive players, with Manipal Tigers signing him for 48 lakh.
2. Monu Kumar will play in Legends League Cricket
Monu Kumar won the IPL 2018 trophy with Chennai Super Kings. He was even a part of the India U-19 squad in U-19 World Cup 2014, and Kumar is all set to play for the Southern Superstars team now.
3. KP Appanna
KP Appanna is best known for his magical spin bowling performances for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL. The left-arm spinner will turn up for Konark Suryas Odisha, who signed him for 10 lakh.
4. Pawan Suyal
Pawan Suyal is a former Mumbai Indians pacer, who can bowl left-arm pace. The left-arm fast bowler will don the India Capitals jersey in LLC as they signed him for 17.5 lakh.
5. Samar Quadri
Samar Quadri is also a relatively lesser-known player, who will turn up for the Gujarat Greats team in LLC 2024. Quadri’s price at the auction was 25 lakh, which surprised many players.
6. Bharat Chipli
Former Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Bharat Chipli also secured a contract at the LLC Auction 2024. India Capitals signed the uncapped batter for 37 lakh at the auction.
