BCCI secretary Jay Shah is reportedly looking into the controversy surrounding Chetan Sharma, and it should not be a surprise if the former Indian cricketer loses his position. Here are six former Indian stars who could replace him as a selector.
1. Suresh Raina could replace Chetan Sharma
BCCI should revise the criteria set to become chief selector and even allow some younger minds. Someone like Suresh Raina, who knows a lot about Indian cricket, can be a great choice to head the selection committee.
2. Virender Sehwag could replace Chetan Sharma
Virender Sehwag has one of the best cricketing brains, but he works only as a commentator and cricket expert. He can help Indian cricket a lot if he becomes the chief selector.
3. Sreesanth could replace Chetan Sharma
Former Indian pace bowler Sreesanth has played a lot of domestic matches. He knows Indian cricket well, and he can be a great candidate to take over the role of chief selector.
4. Venkatesh Prasad
