SENA countries, full form – South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia, four countries, where pacers dominate the game of cricket more often than not. It is the dream of every upcoming Indian batsman to score a hundred in either of these four countries because it establishes the fact that he has enough talent to play international cricket.

It is a common perception among Indian cricket fans that a player’s true talent is known only after he plays in SENA countries. MS Dhoni has an excellent record there, but unfortunately, he never managed to score a century in these venues.

In this article, we will glance at the seven instances when MS Dhoni missed out on a hundred in SENA nations after coming close.

Batting against New Zealand in the first one-dayer of the 2008-09 ODI series, MS Dhoni punished the home team’s bowling attack with a 89-ball 84*. He came out to bat at number three and smashed six fours in his knock.

Unfortunately, rain forced the officials to reduce the game to 38-overs a each. Otherwise, Dhoni could have easily scored 16 runs in the next 12 overs.
