Rahul Dravid was a wicket-keeper batsman in the early phase of his career and after MS Dhoni’s arrival in the Indian cricket team, he gave away his wicket-keeping duties to Dhoni.

Nevertheless, Dravid still holds the record for the fastest fifty by an Indian wicket-keeper in ODIs. Many fans would assume Dhoni to hold this record, but he is second to Dravid, who scored a 22-ball 50 against New Zealand in 2003.

2.Played for Scotland

We have seen Sachin Tendulkar and Mandeep Singh turn up as substitute fielders for opponent teams in cricket, but Rahul Dravid played 11 matches for Scotland in 2003 and scored 600 runs at an average of 66.66.

The Scottish Saltires had received a promotion in the English County’s National league. So, they wanted a marquee overseas player in the team who could help them on and off the field. The officials wanted Sachin Tendulkar, but the Indian team management gave them Rahul Dravid.
