Hence, in the recent video, he revealed the name of his favourite Pakistan player at the moment. Here is what Ashwin had to say:
“I have always been following Mohammad Rizwan. I have been speaking about him for a while about the quality he brings in his knocks, but I think the standout batter and the ways he bats, the hundred in Australia, has to be Babar Azam. After that sticker that has been doing around, Shaheen Shah Afridi. Real talent. Pakistan has always had talented cricketers, and they have more now.”
It was Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen’s performances that have helped Pakistan do well in recent times. Hence, it was unsurprising that Ashwin took those names.

Thanks to the PSL, Pakistan now has depth in all departments of the game. If Pakistan can keep up the good form, they can back themselves to do well in Australia at the 2022 World Cup. They just need to improve their batting against pace to become strong contenders.
