However, Rohit revealed that it was Jaddu’s decision to declare the innings. The all-rounder felt that the Sri Lankan players were tired and hence, they could get a few early wickets.

Regarding the Saurashtra player’s decision, Rohit said, “The highlight of the game was Jadeja. There was a question whether to declare or not, it was the team’s decision and Jadeja’s decision to put them in and shows how selfless he is.” India will next take on Sri Lanka on March 12th in Bengaluru. It will be a day-night Test match at the Garden City.
