IPL 2023 Auction is just around the corner. Less than seven days are left for the mini auction ahead of the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. 10 teams, namely Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and SunRisers Hyderabad will participate in the mini auction.
More than 400 players have made it to the final list of players who will go under the hammer at the IPL 2023 Auction. There are a few teams who have fully loaded purses for this auction, and fans should expect at least two to three players to earn more than 10 crore at this year’s auction.
Speaking of the 10 crore mark, here are the top three contenders who can cross that mark and become the top-paid players of IPL 2023.
1. Sam Curran will be a hot pick at IPL 2023 Auction
England all-rounder Sam Curran will return to the Indian Premier League after missing the previous season due to fitness issues. He had an excellent outing in T20 World Cup 2022, where he won the Player of the Tournament award. Curran is likely to spark a bidding war between multiple franchises and earn somewhere around 12 crore at this year’s auction.
2. Nicholas Pooran is in top form before IPL 2023 Auction
Fans who watched the Abu Dhabi T10 League would have an idea about why Nicholas Pooran is present on this list. He not only led the Deccan Gladiators to the trophy but also scored heaps of runs for the team. Pooran should be among the most expensive picks at this year’s mini auction.
3. Ben Stokes
England Test captain Ben Stokes is also making a return after missing the 2022 season. He has always been in demand at IPL Auctions. Fans should expect Punjab Kings or SunRisers Hyderabad to break the bank for him.
