ODI cricket is one of the toughest formats of the game for a batter. He needs to have the technique of Test cricket and the ability to accelerate like T20 cricket to achieve success in the 50-over format. Not all cricketers who achieved success in Tests and T20Is have succeeded in the one-day international format of the game.

Speaking of the 50-over format, a new player always takes time to settle in any format. Irrespective of which format he is starting his career in, a new player takes time to get adjusted to the level of international cricket. However, the same has not been true for the following three players.

These three cricketers achieved the feat of completing their first 1,000 runs in ODI cricket in less than 20 innings.
