But the way India is performing, it looks like they might go till the end. Meanwhile, veteran Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon comes up with a bold prediction for the two finalists for the 2023 World Cup.
In a discussion on SEN 1170 Breakfast, he predicts a final between India and Australia. Lyon said, “I honestly believe it will be an Australia vs India final. India is the number one favorite for me, and it’s been exciting to watch.”
However, the off-spinner reckons that South Africa is also looking pretty dangerous with its batting firepower. Lyon stated that Australia has always done well in knockouts, and they can win the tournament if they can put runs on the board. Notably, both teams met once in the group stage, and India won the game by six wickets.
With home conditions and fans on their side, India is looking formidable at the moment. All the players are performing well, and everything is clicking so far. Every fan will hope that the team can maintain its form, bring the title home, and end the ICC trophy drought.
