Marco Jansen is one of the players from his successful Washington Freedom team whom Ponting might sign for PBKS. The South African speedster is the next big thing in the T20 format. His pace and height makes it harder for batters to deal with him. Also, Jansen is a developing batter and he could become a complete No.7 in the coming months.
3) Rachin Ravindra
Ponting got the best out of Rachin with the ball in MLC 2024. We all saw flashes of his batting talent when he played for CSK in IPL 2024. Punjab Kings might have a slot for a player of his all-round value at the top of the order. Moreover, hiring the Kiwi will give Punjab a player to watch out for in the future.
