IPL 2025 was brilliant for uncapped cricketers like Vaibhav Suryavanshi and others. However, interestingly, some major capped Indian players were benched throughout. While the likes of Karun Nair made a comeback, a few did not get a chance. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three capped Indian players who did not play a single game in IPL 2025.
Nevertheless, these players should get a chance in the coming seasons. All of this, though, will depend on how they perform in the upcoming domestic games.
1) Jayant Yadav
With Washington Sundar available at GT, Jayant’s gametime was always going to be less. Adding to this, he has not been excellent at the domestic level. Hence, chances did not come through.
2) Mayank Markhande did not get a single game in IPL 2025
Despite KKR being inconsistent, it was surprising that they did not use a traditional leg-spinner. That said, even if released, Mayank is sure to get a gig elsewhere for the next season.
3) Kuldeep Sen
Many felt that PBKS will make use of Kuldeep’s services. However, that was not to be. V Vyshak was in excellent form and Kuldeep was not required. If Kuldeep does well with his pace in the coming months, he could be trusted next season.
