Team India has been in great form in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. They have won all four games and are sitting in the second spot on the table. They will be facing New Zealand in their coming game on Sunday. New Zealand is at the top of the table with 8 points.

These two teams have yet to lose a game. But ahead of that all-important game, India suffered a big setback when Hardik Pandya got injured. He was ruled out of the game against New Zealand.

It has left India to rethink their plans because Hardik gives a brilliant balance to the team. However, it looks like India’s problems are getting even harder, as there is a chance that Ravindra Jadeja is also injured. The spin all-rounder has been carrying a niggle.

Jadeja suffered a knee injury a few months ago and was out of action. He underwent surgery, and it looks like that injury is troubling him again. He was also seen applying an ice pack during the last game against Bangladesh. But is the injury severe enough to rule him out of the coming game? Well, a BCCI official gave a major update.

In a discussion with InsideSports, a BCCI official said, “When there is surgery, you need long-term care. Knee injuries are such that they tend to hurt back. That’s why he was applying an ice pack. There is no immediate concern regarding his niggle.”

Well, it doesn’t look like Jadeja will be missing the game, but this can be huge for India moving ahead in the tournament. He is an important member of the team, and India can’t afford to lose him in any situation.

He is also in good form. Jadeja has taken 7 wickets in four games at an economy rate of 3.75, which is pretty impressive. India will take on New Zealand tomorrow. This game will decide which team will move one step closer to a place in the semi-final.
