Kieron Pollard did not have a memorable tour of India in the year 2022. He led the West Indies cricket team in an ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series and a 3-match T20I series, where the Men in Maroon lost all six matches. The Indian cricket team dominated them in the 50-over format and the 20-over format to complete a 6-0 clean sweep.

While his team could not perform well against the Men in Blue, Kieron Pollard was full of praise for Suryakumar Yadav. Both players play together for the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL. They first shared the dressing room back in 2011 and will also play together for the Mumbai-based franchise in the year 2022.

The West Indies cricket team skipper was happy to see the Indian batter’s growth. He also labeled him as a world-class batter and said the following words for him after the T20I series against the Indian cricket team:

“Surya is a world-class player. I had the opportunity to play at Mumbai Indians with him since he first came in in 2011. Great to see he has grown a lot since then. He is doing great things for himself and India as a 360-degree player. All batters can take a page out of his book.”
