Sachin Tendulkar penned a heartfelt note to Sreesanth after the fast bowler announced his retirement from Indian cricket. Sreesanth, who played for the Indian cricket team in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 Cricket World Cup, called it a day on his domestic career earlier this month.

Sreesanth took it to Twitter and posted a series of tweets to inform the cricket universe that he will never play again for the Indian cricket team and for Indian domestic teams. Later, he announced that he would consider playing in overseas T20 leagues. Also, he showed interest in working as a coach.

Sachin Tendulkar and Sreesanth shared the dressing room many times during their international careers. Both were part of the Indian squads that played the 2011 Cricket World Cup and subsequently toured England for an away Test series. That tour proved to be Sreesanth’s last one.

Sachin Tendulkar and Sreesanth may play together in the future tournaments

After retirement, Tendulkar has played for India Legends in the Road Safety World Series. He has also played exhibition cricket matches in the United States of America. He even traveled to Australia for the Bushfire Bash. Now that Sreesanth has retired, it should not be a surprise if he reunites with Tendulkar in the coming days.

According to reports, the Road Safety World Series 2022 tournament is scheduled to happen later this year. Also, the second season of the Legends League Cricket should happen soon. It will be interesting to see if Tendulkar and Sreesanth play together one more time in the future.
