Ambati Rayudu takes U-turn again, comes out of retirement to play for Super Kings again

Indian middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu stunned everyone when he announced his decision to retire from the Indian Premier League (IPL) and all forms of cricket just before the IPL 2023 Final.

The IPL 2023 Final was played between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Gujarat Titans, supposedly was to be played on 28 May, was played on the 29th of May and went on till late night at 1:30 AM.

However, before the final match began, Chennai Super Kings’ important batter in the middle-order Ambati Rayudu announced his decision to retire. However, he, just like before, has taken his decision back and is again returning back to playing cricket again.

Rayudu will now be see turning up for the Texas Super Kings (TSK) in the upcoming Major League Cricket (MLC) in America. Rayudu will join his CSK partner Devon Conway, Mitchell Santner and CSK’s bowling Dwayne Bravo. Daniel Sams, David Miller, Gerald Coetzee are the other players who will play for the team.

Texas Super Kings is a sister team of Chennai Super Kings, owned by the same company. Texas will begin their campaign against the Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) on the 13th of July.

Rayudu played an instrumental role in helping the Chennai Super Kings pick up the crucial win in the grand final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Coming in at number 5, Rayudu scored 19 runs in 8 balls with a strike rate of 237 to help his team chase down the target of 171 runs in 15 overs after the target was revised due to DLS method after Gujarat had earlier scored 214 runs.
