Babar Azam has gained everyone’s attention on social media with his special post for former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli. While Babar and Virat have rarely played cricket against each other, it seems like the two batters are great friends off the field. Last year, during the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 match between the Indian cricket team and the Pakistan cricket team, fans loved the photos shared on social media featuring Kohli and Azam.
Last night, after Virat Kohli failed to score big in the second ODI against the England cricket team at the Lord’s cricket ground, Babar Azam posted a tweet supporting him. Babar wrote that it is a tough time but it will also pass soon. Here is the tweet posted by him:
This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli pic.twitter.com/ozr7BFFgXt

The tweet has gone viral on social media. So far, it has received more than 200,000 likes. Fans from both India and Pakistan have loved the tweet posted by Babar. Earlier today, Babar had a press conference, where he explained why he posted the tweet for Virat Kohli.
As a player myself, I know you can go through such a phase: Babar Azam
Speaking with the journalists before the first match of the Pakistan cricket team’s ICC World Test Championship series against the Sri Lankan cricket team, Babar Azam addressed the tweet he posted for Virat Kohli. He felt that in a situation which Kohli finds himself in right now, one needs support.
“As a player myself, I know you can go through such a phase (out of form) and I also know what a player goes through in such a phase. In those times, you need support. I just tweeted thinking that it will give just some support. He is one of the best players.”
