Sourav Ganguly also shared his views on Umran Malik

During the same interaction, the BCCI President also gave his opinion on SunRisers Hyderabad’s fast bowler Umran Malik and said that if he maintains his fitness, he could be a long-term asset for Indian cricket. Ganguly affirmed that Umran’s future is in his own hands.

While Malik has broken into the Indian squad, it will be interesting to see when the likes of Tilak Verma, Rahul Tripathi, Rahul Tewatia and Mohsin Khan make their debuts. Many fans would remember that Tewatia received his maiden national call-up last year, but he did not get a place in the playing XI.

After his excellent performance for the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022, Tewatia is one of the top contenders to play for the Indian T20I team in the near future.
