    Openers of Best T20I XI in 2023 – Muhammad Waseem and Tim Seifert (wk)

    UAE captain Muhammad Waseem will open the batting with New Zealand’s wicketkeeper batter Tim Seifert. Waseem has been the highest run-scorer in T20Is this year with 810 runs in 22 innings. Meanwhile, the left-handed Seifert has aggregated 400 runs in just 12 innings at a strike rate of 155.64.

    Middle Order – Suryakumar Yadav, Nicholas Pooran, Mark Chapman, Sikandar Raza and Alpesh Ramjani

    The middle-order consists of Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav who had a memorable year in T20Is. Yadav scored 733 runs in 17 innings, recording two centuries and five fifties. Nicholas Pooran smacked 27 sixes in 13 games, while New Zealand all-rounder Mark Chapman scored 575 runs in 18 T20I innings.

    Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raza scored 515 runs in 11 innings and whacked 39 sixes. He also bagged 17 wickets. Alpesh Ramjani is a slow left-arm spinner of Uganda. He completes the middle-order. The left-arm spin bowling all-rounder was the highest wicket-taker in T20Is this year, with 55 wickets in 30 matches.

    Bowlers – Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Alzarri Joseph and Taskin Ahmed

    Indian left-arm speedster Arshdeep Singh will lead the pace attack with West Indies’ Alzarri Joseph and Bangladesh’s Taskin Ahmed also present in the playing XI.
