While ace pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel returned, Avesh Khan was dropped and injured Ravindra Jadeja missed out on the squad. Both Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant have been picked, meaning there is no place for Sanju Samson.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Ashwin will take care of the spinning department alongside all-rounder Axar Patel. Arshdeep Singh has managed to retain his position in the side.

Both batters picked the conventional line-up of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli followed by Suryakumar Yadav at No.4. However, when it came to the middle-order, there was a bit of difference in the selections from both ends.

While Pujara picked Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya, Uthappa went with Deepak Hooda in place of Pant to bolster the middle-order.

Again, both the players in the bowling department had similar thoughts as they both named the line-up of Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar alongside premium spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.
