Uthappa will continue donning the CSK jersey in IPL 2022. But between IPL 2021 and 2022, there was a season of the Pakistan Super League that happened in Pakistan. Many fans in Pakistan have labeled it a massive success. In fact, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja even commented that PSL will be in the same bracket as the IPL if they introduce an auction.

After that, a journalist from Pakistan commented on Twitter that PSL is better than IPL because the league has grown quicker than IPL despite the competition. Here’s what he wrote:

“No comparison between PSL and IPL! PSL started in 2016 while IPL inaugurated in 2008. However one has to admit PSL gained worldwide popularity more quicker in an era when other boards had introduced their leagues too whereas there was no competitor in the market when IPL was born.”
