Australian cricket team’s star batter, David Warner, extended an ‘apology’ on Twitter (now known as X) to a dejected Indian fan following India’s heart-breaking loss in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Final against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Despite India being the clear favorites, Australia’s dominant performance secured them the title. After India posted 240 runs on the board, Australia faced an early challenge losing three wickets, but Travis Head’s exceptional 137 guided them to victory.

The unexpected loss sent shockwaves across the nation, with a disappointed Indian fan expressing heartbreak to David Warner on X, who is being widely loved by the entire nation while Warner has also embraced the Indian culture and has find himself a place among the Indians’ heart.

Warner, known for his love for India, apologized to the fan, acknowledging the great game and incredible atmosphere. He praised India for hosting a successful event, expressing gratitude to all.

Meanwhile, David Warner has decided to pull out from the upcoming India vs Australia 5 match T20I series given the intense workload the left-hand batter had to go through throughout the whole ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The 1st of the 5 match series commences on the 23rd of November in Visakhapatnam. Aaron Hardie has been named as replacement for Warner as Matthew Wade will be leading the side.
