Former Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli is having a tough time as a batter in the middle. Earlier tonight, in the match between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kohli handed a catch to Deepak Hooda, who was standing in the backward point region.

It was the first ball of his innings, and Kohli just looked to place the ball from Dushmantha Chameera in the gap. However, he could not hit it where he wanted to and eventually lost his wicket on the first ball of his innings. Chameera came on a hat-trick because before that delivery, he picked up the wicket of Anuj Rawat.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore are playing their seventh match of IPL 2022, and the fans are yet to witness a big score from Virat. He has gotten off to good starts, but he has not been able to convert them into big scores.

Commenting on Virat’s recent form mid-innings during the match against the Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore coach Sanjay Bangar was quoted as saying as follows:

“Virat’s scored consistently over a number of years – at the moment he’s going through a low patch as you may say. I would look at it this way – if he hasn’t got a big score for about 7 innings, it’s just around the corner.”

Sanjay Bangar sees no need for Virat Kohli to change his technique against the pacers

During the same chat with the commentators, Sanjay Bangar admitted that Kohli had some issues against spin of late, and he was practicing against spin in the nets to overcome. However, it was pace bowler Dushmantha Chameera who dismissed him earlier tonight. Bangar mentioned that in his opinion, Kohli should not change his game against the faster bowlers.

“Against the spinners definitely but against the medium-pacers he doesn’t need to make any change,” Bangar concluded.
