West Indies cricket’s veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has officially confirmed that he will retire from International cricket after the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021, being played in the UAE and in Oman.

Dwayne Bravo has come out as one of the best all-rounder ever in cricket, with glory all over the world, including the Indian Premeir League. But Dwayne Bravo himself has confirmed that the chapter is now officially over.

Dwayne Bravo had earlier in 2018 announced his retirement from International cricket, but the Caribbean star was forced to reverse his decision and came out of retirement to play for West Indies, who were struggling at that time. But this time, it is all confirm.

West Indies captain Kieron Pollard had earlier hinted that the home series against Pakistan is Dwayne Bravo’s last home series in the Caribbean soil.

During a International Cricket Council (ICC) show, the star West Indies all-rounder confirmed that the time has come. He is grateful to have represented the West Indies team for the past 18 years.

He also talked about West Indies producing some golden talents during his era and they showed their talent in the global stage and most importantly won many silverware.

Dwayne Bravo career

Dwayne Bravo made his International debut for West Indies in an ODI match against England on the 18th of April 2004. He then some weeks later made his Test debut for the Caribbean side, against the same opposition, England.

However, Bravo’s Test career was very short one as he 40 Test matches for West Indies and last featured in 2010 in Test cricket match. He is one of the most successful player in the T20 cricket.

Dwayne Bravo has won 2 T20 World Cups playing for the West Indies team in 2012 and in 2016. He has also won various T20 leagues around the world.

He has played 90 T20 International matches, in which he has scored 1245 runs and has picked up 78 wickets. Looking at his all T20 cricket stats, he has played 104 T20 matches and has picked 121 wickets.

West Indies in T20 World Cup 2021

West Indies suffered a defeat against Sri Lanka in their 4th match of the T20 World Cup 2021, as a result, West Indies is officially knocked out of the T20 World Cup 2021 with just 2 points.

West Indies will now play Australia on the 6th of November, and that will be Dwayne Bravo’s last ever International match.
