Cheteshwar Pujara has continued his excellent form in County Championship 2022 as he brought up his double hundred for Sussex today. Pujara joined Sussex to regain his lost touch in red-ball cricket. He has performed brilliantly for the county and scored heaps of runs for them. At one time, he was the backbone of the team along with Mohammad Rizwan.

While Rizwan is unavailable now because of Pakistan’s ICC World Test Championship series against Sri Lanka, Pujara has continued to shoulder Sussex’s batting responsibilities. In the ongoing match between Sussex and Middlesex, Pujara scored 231 runs off 403 balls while leading his team. His double century helped Sussex finish with a massive 523-run total in the first innings.

Earlier this season, he played an unbeaten knock of 201 runs in the second innings of the match against Derbyshire. After that, he scored 203 runs in the innings against Durham. Today, he scored his double hundred for Sussex in 2022 and became the first player in 118 years to score three double centuries for Sussex in the same season.

Cheteshwar Pujara went head-to-head with Umesh Yadav in the recent match against Middlesex

Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Umesh Yadav signed a deal with Middlesex after the ICC World Test Championship match against the England cricket team. Yadav is one of the 11 members in Middlesex’s playing XI for their match against Sussex.

Most of the Middlesex bowlers were successful in taking wickets, but Yadav returned wicketless with figures of 0/70 in 29 overs. He would be disappointed with his bowling as he bowled three no-balls as well. At the end of Day 2 in this match, Middlesex are 103/0, with Sam Robson and Mark Stoneman batting in the middle.
