Amid all the T20 leagues around the world, the organizers of the Abu Dhabi T10 and SAMP Army Cricket franchises have introduced a totally new league, known as the US Masters T10 League, in the USA’s Dallas, Texas. This tournament will have a total of six teams.
These teams will compete in the 10-over format tournament. This competition will have all the legends that have retired from the game and also some youngsters who are at the start of their cricketing careers. The news of this competition has certainly created a buzz because fans will be able to see retired players from India and Pakistan together in one place.
The New York Warriors will have the likes of Shahid Afridi and Misbah-ul-Haq, who will take charge. On the other hand, former Indian stars Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir will represent the New Jersey Legends in the inaugural edition.
Some other former Pakistani stars in the competition are Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Gul, Umaid Asif, Shohail Khan, and Abdur Rahman. Meanwhile, the New York Warriors have signed some big names like Kamran Akmal, Tilakratne Dilshan, and some Indians like Munaf Patel and Murali Vijay, who will play alongside former Pakistani cricketers.
On the other hand, apart from Yuvraj and Gambhir, the New Jersey Legends have roped in some former big stars, including Yusuf Pathan, Liam Plunkett, Albie Morkel, Naman Ojha, Stuart Binny, RP Singh, Abhimanyu Mithun, and Monty Panesar.
Thus, it will be another chance for cricket lovers to watch the players from India and Pakistan play together in a team and also against each other. The six teams to take part in the upcoming competition are the Atlanta Fire, California Knights, Morrisville Unity, New Jersey Legends, New York Warriors, and Texas Chargers. The inaugural season will start on August 18, and the final game will take place on August 27.
