Pressured by a congested calendar, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) requested the Netherlands Cricket Board (KNCB) to defer the series. The tight itinerary, with matches against New Zealand, Ireland, and England in quick succession, left little room for the Dutch series.

Roland Lefebrve, the KNCB High-Performance Manager, expressed disappointment about the rescheduling but acknowledged the circumstances. He remains hopeful that a new window can be identified for the series, either at home or away.

In the aftermath of a subpar performance in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India, where Pakistan cricket team only won four out of nine matches and missed the knockout stages, the team now turns its attention to a two-match Test series against Australia starting on December 14 in Perth.
