Many fans would know that the counties have permission to sign a few foreign players every year, and one of the overseas talents roped in by Lancashire is Hasan Ali. The right-arm fast bowler of the Pakistan cricket team has done an excellent job for the Lancashire team thus far.

One of the aspects of Ali’s game that has amazed Anderson the most is his celebration. Most members of the cricket universe would have seen the special celebration from Hasan Ali whenever he takes a wicket. His ability to transition from his bowling to his celebration quickly has surprised Anderson.

“I like his celebration, I am amazed he can be so focused on bowling and all of a sudden he gets a wicket and he’s bang straight into the routine. He sort of bends his leg at the knees, his hands sort of touch the ground almost and then he pulls his hands back quickly, I can’t really describe it,” James Anderson said in a chat with BBC Radio 5 Live.

With Ben Stokes becoming the new skipper of the England Test cricket team, the veteran duo of Anderson and Stuart Broad still has a chance of making a return to the Test squad. With that hope, Anderson has been toiling hard in county cricket this year.

The right-arm pace bowler has played two matches for Lancashire and picked up a total of eight wickets. Six of the eight wickets came against Hampshire, where he took three wickets each in two innings.
