Massive changes likely in England team for West Indies series

England lost Ashes 4-0. The team was in a winning position in the Hobart Test but yet another batting collapse came about. Actually, in almost every game, they had at least one collapse. The bowlers, at least, tried their best but not even one batsman did well for the Three Lions squad. Jonny Bairstow was the sole centurion while the likes of Joe Root, Ollie Pope, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler struggled.

England’s next Test assignment will be in the month of March. They will travel to West Indies to take part in three Tests. England’s five-day team has to start a rebuild in the Caribbean islands. Hence it is expected that a few non-performers will be dropped.

David Lloyd names two players who must be in the squad

Meanwhile, David Lloyd has suggested the names of two uncapped players who must be in the England Test squad. He said that both Liam Livingstone and Saqib Mahmood should be on the flight to West Indies. Although both have been a part of the Test squads before, they are yet to make their debut.

In Daily Mail, David Lloyd said, “I will give you two who should be going to the Caribbean with England in March.” The former cricketer added, “Saqib Mahmood is one but it is batters we need most and Liam Livingstone is an aggressive, no-nonsense one. His first-class record isn’t great but I just see a real performer there.” Lloyd also said that Jonny Bairstow should also be a part of the rebuild for the English Test Team.
