Kohli’s gesture of presenting a signed jersey to Babar was a touching display of sportsmanship, even though Pakistan had suffered a seven-wicket loss in the high-stakes game. Babar’s beaming smile upon receiving the jersey spoke volumes about the camaraderie between the two captains.

Reflecting on the match, Babar admitted that Pakistan’s batting collapse played a significant role in their defeat. Following an 81-run partnership between Babar and Mohammad Rizwan for the second wicket, Pakistan was eventually bowled out for 191.
Babar also praised Rohit Sharma for his match-winning performance. Rohit, who had previously scored 131 runs against Afghanistan, once again shone with an 86-run innings in Ahmedabad.
Batting first, Pakistan got off to a good start where once they were just 2 wickets down for 150 runs and were looking set for a big target. However, just then a major collapse happened and Pakistan never recovered from that. The Men in Green were all-out for just 191 runs.
India captain Rohit Sharma led from the front as he scored 86 runs in just 63 balls with 6 fours and 6 sixes. Shreyas Iyer also played a crucial role as he remained not out for 53 runs in 62 balls and took India home for their eighth win against Pakistan in ICC Cricket World Cup history.
India’s victory marked their third consecutive win, and they are set to face Bangladesh in their next match on October 19. Pakistan, on the other hand, will be eager to bounce back as they prepare to take on Australia on October 20.
