In the final, India batted first after being sent in by five-time champions Australia. Despite a solid start by skipper Rohit Sharma, who scored 47 off 31 balls, India faced setbacks, with Virat Kohli (54) falling to a remarkable delivery. KL Rahul’s composed 66 off 107 provided resilience, but the entire Indian batting unit was dismissed for the first time in the tournament, setting a target of 241.
