Yadav did not have a great night as he failed to defend 14 runs off the final over in a low-scoring game. Tailenders Jhye Richardson and Pat Cummins scored 14 runs off his last six balls and helped the Aussies win the match.

The Indian playing XI in that match was quite different compared to the current one. Here’s a look at the Indian playing XI from that game and where are the players now.

Openers – Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul

India’s current captain and vice-captain Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul opened the innings in that game. While Sharma lost his wicket in single digits, Rahul scored a half-century. Both players are still regular openers of India’s T20I team.

Middle Order – Virat Kohli (c), Rishabh Pant, MS Dhoni (wk) and Dinesh Karthik

India played with four wicket-keeping options in that match. Along with Rahul, Pant, Dhoni and Karthik could also keep the wickets. Virat Kohli led the Indian side in that fixture. All four middle-order players had an average outing as none of them could score big. Dhoni has now retired, while other three still play for the Men in Blue actively.

All Rounder and Bowlers – Umesh Yadav, Krunal Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mayank Markande and Jasprit Bumrah

India played with three spinners and two fast bowlers in that game. Yadav and Bumrah formed the Indian pace attack. Chahal, Pandya and Markande were the spin options. It proved to be Markande’s first and last game of 2019. Chahal and Bumrah are actively playing for India, while Krunal is lost in the mix.
