“IPL players need to have it”- Mohammed Siraj reveals 2 things he bought from his 1st IPL salary

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s star fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has disclosed the two things that he bought from his 1st ever Indian Premier League salary. The Indian Premier League is the number one T20 league on the planet right now, and it is the dream of every cricketer to participate in the competition.

Apart from the level of competition, the fan following and the glamour, players also wish to become a part of the Indian Premier League franchises because of the high salary they earn. Many cricketers who did not have a wealthy background are now earning a lot thanks to the IPL.

Mohammed Siraj is one of the many cricketers whose life changed after playing in the Indian Premier League. The right-arm fast bowler is a son of an auto-rickshaw driver. He came into the spotlight after his phenomenal performances at the domestic level.

Siraj bagged his maiden IPL deal from the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in 2017. The Hyderabad-based franchise signed him for INR 2.6 crore. Later in 2018, the Royal Challengers Bangalore signed him for the same amount. His current salary is INR 7 crore.

Speaking to Danish Sait on the new Royal Challengers Bangalore podcast, Mohammed Siraj said:

“First thing, I bought was iPhone 7+. Then I bought a second-hand car, Corolla. Car is important. IPL players need to have a car. For how long do I push around a Platina? But I didn’t know how to drive. My uncle’s son knew to drive so I called him every time I wanted to go out.”

The Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained Mohammed Siraj ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. It will be interesting to see how the fast bowler performs for the franchise this year.
