Tim David is already a renowned name in T20 leagues across the globe and is one of the hottest properties in the world at present. His incredible hitting ability makes him a rare talent. He has got a good reach due to his height and has remarkable strength. On top of that, he is also handy with the ball in hand.

Ever since making his international debut for Australia in white-ball cricket, Tim has been impressive. He scored his maiden T20I fifty against India in the 3rd T20I under pressure. On Friday, he scored a 42 off 20 balls against West Indies to help his side post a mammoth total and clinch the T20I series 2-0.

No wonder Aaron Finch’s side are excited to have his services for the marquee event. He could be an x-factor for the Aussies and will have a vital role to play if they wish to defend their title this year.

Warner also expressed his excitement at possessing Tim’s services on his side. The Australian opener believes that one doesn’t get players of his caliber regularly. He went on to say that the selectors will have a good headache going forward.

“Now he’s in our team and our set-up, it’s a godsend. He’s an incredible player and he’s got some serious power. It boosts our middle order. With his height as well, and strength, it suits us that’s for sure,” David Warner said after Australia’s victory on Friday.

“Coming out and playing that role there when it was a hard wicket to start on really opens our eyes to ‘how do we utilise that? But even what he did for Mumbai (Indians, in the IPL), he got a couple of thirties or forties off eight or nine balls – it’s incredible.

“You don’t get these types of players every day. It’s going to be good for us moving forward and hopefully there’s a spot there as well, because the selectors have got a headache now.”
