However, at the time of the toss, there were questions about Rahul’s place in the playing XI, but he was added to the team in place of Shreyas Iyer. Rahul is playing his first ODI since March and has looked good for his brief stay until now.

With his 17 runs so far, Rahul has equaled Virat’s big record. He has now become the joint-third-fastest Indian to complete 2000 OFI runs. He did it in his 53rd inning and has scored 2003 runs at an average of 45.52 so far. Rahul is only behind Shikhar Dhawan (48) and Sourav Ganguly (52).

Overall, Rahul is joint-tenth fastest on this list, along with Virat Kohli. Speaking of the game, this match is very important for both teams. Pakistan won its previous game against Bangladesh and can qualify for the final after beating India today. On the other hand, India is playing its first Super Four match and will look to start with a win.
