Michael Vaughan picks his early favourites for T20 World Cup 2021

Former England cricketer and captain Michael Vaughan has stated that England and Pakistan looks a class above the other teams participating in the T20 World Cup 2021.

The latest edition of the T20 World Cup, the biggest carnival of T20 cricket, is being played in UAE and Oman from the 17th of October and will run for a month till the final on 14th November.

After a couple of matches is now done in the Super 12 round of the T20 World Cup 2021, former England cricketer and captain Michael Vaughan has stated through his Twitter handle that England and Pakistan, the two undefeated teams in the tournament, looks a class above the other participating teams and will need something extraordinary to stop them.

England and Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2021

England has got off to a great start in the tournament and is one of the pre tournament favourite as the 2019 Cricket World Cup winners are looking to add their 2nd T20 World Cup trophy in their cabinet.

England kicked-off the campaign with a tremendous win over the defending champions of the T20 World Cup, West Indies, on the opening day of the competition, knocking off the Caribbeans by 6 wickets, but lost importantly, they chased down West Indies’ target of 56 in just 8.2 over.

In the next match on the 27th of October, they went past the Bengal tigers, Bangladesh. Another comprehensive 8 wickets win in chase of 125 runs, with almost 6 overs of play still remaining.

On the other hand, Pakistan cricket team is having the best of couple of days of their life. First, they broke the long jinx of Pakistan not able to beat India in any World Cup events, and they did so on the 24th October after they recorded a massive 10 wickets win over their neighbours and arch-rival.

Next, they faced off Kane Williamson led New Zealand just 2 days after on the 26th October. They again came off being the best as they won the match by 5 wickets.

As a result, both England and Pakistan now leads their respective groups in the Super 12 rounds and looks the favourite to make it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2021.
