Team India needs a miracle to recover

The men in blue were expected to be the dominant team in the third Test. Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to bat first. While the England team had a few changes, Virat and co. fielded the same team that won the game at Lord’s.

KL Rahul lost his wicket to a poor shot in the first over. The likes of Virat Kohli, Pujara and Rahane also followed him within the first session. Team India now needs a miracle to come back into this game.

James Anderson dismisses Virat Kohli yet again

In the first Test, Anderson had got Kohli out for a duck. However, it was in the second game that sparks flew between the duo. They had a few words in the middle, and this was the follow-up to the event that occurred after Jimmy had a few words with Bumrah.

Hence, because of the context, everyone was looking forward to the Anderson-Kohli duel. However, it was Anderson who came out victorious as he took the outside edge off Virat’s bat and got him out. Naturally, Anderson was ecstatic and celebrated wildly with his teammates.

Michael Vaughan is known for his vocal opinions about Team India. However, after Anderson took Kohli’s wicket, the former English skipper was slightly subdued with the reaction. He said, “Love Test cricket !! 2 world-class performers & one winning this morning !!!”
