L Sivaramakrishnan has fired shots at Ravichandran Ashwin after the latter’s selection in the ICC World Cup 2023 squad of India. Ashwin made a last-minute entry into the squad as a replacement for Axar Patel. However, it looks like L Sivaramakrishnan is not a fan of this move made by the BCCI.
The former Indian cricketer first took a shot at ICC for including any spinners in the commentary panel for the World Cup. He is a retired cricketer, who works as a commentator. However, the ICC decided to go in with batters, all-rounders and fast bowlers to form the commentary panel for this year’s World Cup.
This angered the former Indian cricketer, and in his rant, he added R Ashwin as well. Here are some of the tweets posted by L Sivaramakrishnan about Ashwin:
“Any fool will get wickets on tampered pitches in India. Go straight from the airport to the ground and tell the ground staff what areas to tamper, I have seen with my own eyes several times. 378 wickets in India. He is still playing because there is nobody else. Liability fielder – 20. Most unfit cricketer. Gives excuses for everything.”
Gives excuses for everything

Ashwin is unlikely to reply to the former Indian spinner until the World Cup ends. India will play their second warm-up match against the Netherlands on October 3.
