Najam Sethi, the new chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has given various reactions on the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). India has refused to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup and PCB is not happy about it at all. They say that if India is not coming to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, will they not come to the Champions Trophy in 2025?

In fact, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had said a few months ago that India will not travel to Pakistan to play in the Asia Cup 2023. After this, former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja became very angry and threatened to boycott the ODI World Cup 2023 to be held in India.

Apart from this, he had also said that he would get the Asia Cup done even without the Indian cricket team.

At the same time, the new PCB chairman Najam Sethi has also criticized the BCCI for their decision. During a interview on Sports Tak, he said, “If you will not come to Pakistan and then also say come to India then what kind of standard is this.”

“I believe politics should be kept away. BCCI is an independent body but our PCB is linked to the government. That’s why we have to take more permissions from the government but BCCI is a private body and that’s why there is no need for such politics,” he added.

“Earlier, Jay Shah had given a statement due to which former chairman Ramiz Raja was not happy at all. On one hand, you want the Pakistan team to come to India to play the World Cup and on the other hand, you say that we do not want to go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. Tomorrow when the Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan, will you still not play in it?” he further added.
